Average gas prices across Virginia are up by four cents this week to $3.04 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is down by four cents to $3.17 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville is up by two cents to $2.89, while the average price in Pittsylvania County is up by a penny to $2.96 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price climbed by a nickel to $2.90 a gallon and in Henry County the average price is up by three cents to $2.92. Prices in Halifax County jumped up by 15 cents to $3.09 a gallon.
