Average gas prices across Virginia jumped by nine cents this week to $3.13 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is up by three cents to $3.20 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville climbed by three cents to $2.92, while the average price in Pittsylvania County remains the same this week at $2.96 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price climbed by a nickel for the second week in a row to $2.95 a gallon and in Henry County the average price jumped by nine cents to $3.01. Prices in Halifax County climbed by 11 cents to $3.20 a gallon.
