One person was injured after being hit by a train in Danville on Friday. Officers responded to a report of a person struck by a Norfolk Southern train in the area of the South Main Street overpass around 6 pm last Friday, and found a 24-year-old male injured on the tracks.

He was transported from the scene, and due to his injuries, was airlifted out of Danville. No charges have been filed.
