A team from the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office recently returned from assisting in Hurricane Helene relief efforts in Western North Carolina. Nine members of the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office returned earlier this week after assisting in relief efforts in Buncombe County.

During the deployment the team was tasked with going into storm-affected areas and providing law enforcement assistance, search, rescue, recovery, delivering supplies to those in need, damage documentation, and neighborhood welfare checks.
