Average gas prices across Virginia dropped by a nickel this week to $3.08 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is down by three cents to $3.17 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville is down by a penny to $2.91, while the average price in Pittsylvania County remains the same this week at $2.96 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price is up by two cents to $2.97 a gallon and in Henry County the average price is down by a penny to $3.00. Prices in Halifax County fell by nine cents to $3.11 a gallon.
