Three people have been arrested in Henry County on drug charges following a traffic stop. On Wednesday, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Interdiction Unit conducted a traffic stop that led to the arrest of two individuals and the discovery of suspected fentanyl.
The stop, conducted by the Narcotics Interdiction Unit, revealed suspected fentanyl inside the vehicle occupied by Rhona Crutchfield, 60, and Amanda Spangler, 44. Crutchfield was arrested on prior outstanding distribution charges within Henry County, while Spangler was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Information obtained during the traffic stop directed VICE Investigators to a residence located at 65 South Creek Court in Collinsville Acting on this lead, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team executed a narcotics search warrant at the residence, leading to the seizure of suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl, and digital scales. All substances will be sent for analysis at the Department of Forensic Science in Roanoke.
During the search, investigators located Tiwan Maurice Dillard, 49, of Bassett, inside the residence. Dillard was subsequently arrested on a prior outstanding charge from Martinsville City for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Following the search, Dillard was additionally charged with violating Virginia Code Section 18.2-250: Possession of a Controlled Substance.
