Starting this week, periodic lane restrictions will be in place on Arnett Boulevard from Third Avenue/Wendell Scott Drive to Guilford Street. The restrictions will be necessary to allow for planned improvements that will be put in place over the next several months.

The improvements include the addition of a sidewalk along both sides of Arnett Boulevard; replacement of curb and gutter and driveway entrances; the addition of two crosswalks with pedestrian lights at Ingram Street and Guilford Drive; and the milling, repaving and re-striping of Arnett Boulevard.

Lanes will be restricted periodically throughout the project depending on what work is being done; however, all businesses will be accessible during the project.

Major Construction will be the prime contractor for this project. The project should be completed by the end of June.
