A North Carolina man was sentenced on Monday for a fatal crash that occurred in Danville. 27-year-old Caleb Durham of Blanch, North Carolina will serve seven years in prison for the fatal accident on Goodyear Blvd.

Durham was charged with vehicular manslaughter and DUI for the crash on December 20, 2023. 52-year-old Michael Carter of Reidsville later died from his injuries at the hospital.

Durham previously pleaded guilty for the crash and 13 years of his sentence were suspended pending good behavior.
