Caesars Virginia has announced that a local developer will be opening three restaurants inside the new resort when it opens later this year.
Caesars Virginia today announced a partnership with local developer Rick Barker and Steve Parry of Parry Restaurant Group to bring a new food hall concept to the destination when it opens later this year. 500 Block Food Hall brings together three beloved culinary experiences—burgers, BBQ and pizza—that pay homage to the River District commercial block restoration project and honor the development throughout the district.
“I love that Caesars Entertainment wants to provide its guests with an authentic Southern Virginia experience,” said Rick Barker. “Caesars Virginia inviting us into this project proves that they care about Danville, and there’s no better way to experience Southern hospitality than with some good and authentic Southern cuisine.”
500 Block will offer three options for guests of Caesars Virginia – Mill Burger, The Garage and Southern Slices. Mill Burger is a celebration of classic American flavors, focusing on the art of the Smash Burger while also offering menu items such as Chicken Tenders and Truffle Fries. The Garage will highlight a variety of BBQ offerings like Pulled Pork, Smoked Chicken and Brisket, all showcasing smoky, rich flavors of Southern-style cooking. Southern Slices will provide quality personal-sized pizzas made from scratch, celebrating the essence of classic flavors and crafted with care and fresh ingredients.
500 Block Food Hall takes its design cues from Danville’s River District architecture, retaining the industrial vibe of downtown. Guests will see familiar bricks, metal beams with heavy rivets, great lighting and seating for more than 100, all in a dynamic, fun atmosphere.
“Rick and Steve have been amazing partners, and we’re excited to team up with them to offer an authentic local dining experience to our guests at Caesars Virginia,” said Chris Albrecht, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Caesars Virginia. “We appreciate that they have embraced the industrial aesthetic of downtown and incorporated it into the design of 500 Block. It’s another way we are celebrating Danville’s past while offering our guests something fresh and modern.”
