Four people have been arrested in Eden following an operation by the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office and Eden Police Department Vice-Narcotics Divisions. On October 24, search warrants were executed at 214 Cicero Trail and 342 Wilshire Drive in Eden.
During the search, a trafficking amount of methamphetamine, marijuana, oxycodone, MDMA, U.S. currency, several firearms (one stolen), and drug paraphernalia were discovered.
As a result of the search warrant, 45-year-old Phillip James Hedgepeth was arrested on several charges including Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession of Oxycodone, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and Resist, Delay and Obstruct Law Enforcement Officers among other charges. Hedgepath was also previously wanted for two outstanding Civil Orders for Arrest for Non-Payment of Child Support and outstanding arrest warrants for Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Expired Registration, Displaying a Fictitious Tag, Driving While License Rrevoked, Expired Inspection, Interfere with Electronic Monitoring Device, Failure to Appear in Court and several probation violations.
29-year-old Brittany Nicole Haizlip was arrested on one outstanding arrest warrant for Simple Assault and was subsequently charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Resist, Delay and Obstruct Law Enforcement Officers, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
43-year-old Candace Marie Gillespie was charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Marijuana.
45-year-old Clinton Ryan Dean was charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Methamphetamine, Felony Maintaining a Dwelling to Sell Drugs, and Possession of Precursors to Manufacture Methamphetamine.
All four have been placed in the Rockingham County Detention Facility. More arrests are expected as part of the investigation.
