The Associated Press has declared Vice President Kamala Harris as the winner in Virginia in the Presidential Election over former President Donald Trump. According to the Virginia Election website, Harris received nearly 51.5% of the vote with 130 of 133 precincts reporting, while Trump received 46.39% of the vote.
The win for Harris gives her 13 electoral votes. Trump however has won North Carolina, according to the Associated Press, giving the former President 16 electoral votes.
In the City of Danville, Harris received just under 60% of the vote, while Trump got over 71% of the vote in Pittsylvania County.
