Pittsylvania County Schools recently collected over 73,000 bottles of water during a donation drive. The drive was a partnership with God’s Pit Crew to support North Carolina communities impacted by Hurricane Helene.
Superintendent Dr. Mark Jones and Supervisor of Instructional Specialty Programs and CTE Julia Boles visited the winning schools to recognize their incredible efforts. They awarded each school level the prestigious Superintendent’s Cup.
• Chatham Elementary: 20,700 bottles
• Dan River Middle: 8,940 bottles
• Gretna High: 6,500 bottles
