The U.S. Navy will be conducting a training exercise at the Danville Regional Airport on Friday afternoon and evening. The exercise will involve a helicopter and a twin turboprop aircraft, with operations focused on dropping off and picking up participants.
The helicopter is scheduled to arrive between 2 pm and 4 pm to drop off several exercise participants before departing. The helicopter may operate at a low altitude. Later in the day, the twin turboprop aircraft is expected to arrive between 5 pm and 7 pm to retrieve the participants. While the aircraft plans to leave promptly after boarding, there is a possibility it may arrive later.
The exercise is a routine operation and will not involve the general public.
