One was killed and another was arrested following a shooting in Henry County on Thursday. At 5 pm, deputies with the Henry County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a shooting into an occupied dwelling at 143 Villa Road in Ridgeway.

Upon arrival deputies discovered 29-year-old Marquise Antonio Waller suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators were called to process the scene and collect evidence. The deceased was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Roanoke for an autopsy.

25-year-old Takai Anthony Brodie turned himself in to investigators at the Henry County Sheriff’s Office shortly after the incident. Brodie has been charged with first degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
