Average gas prices across Virginia are down by two cents this week to $2.93 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is down by a penny to $3.04 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville is down by three cents this week to $2.79, while the average price in Pittsylvania County dropped by six cents this week to $2.84 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price remained the same at $2.83 a gallon and in Henry County the average price is down by three cents and also at $2.83. Prices in Halifax County fell by nine cents to $2.97 a gallon.
