Traffic in Danville along West Main Street in the vicinity of Caesars Virginia will be significantly impacted beginning on Tuesday to allow for street resurfacing. Work will continue through the end of the week.

The resurfacing will be from the west side of Baltimore Avenue to the Community Way connector adjacent to Hardees. Westbound traffic on West Main Street will be detoured onto Park Avenue, Memorial Drive, and Bishop Road. The detour will be in place from 7 am to 7 pm each day.

Eastbound traffic can continue to use West Main Street, but motorists should expect delays or seek an alternate route.

A flagging operation and message boards will be in place. Adams Construction is the contractor. Mullen’s Markings will install the pavement markings on the new surface.
