Average gas prices across Virginia are down by four cents this week to $2.89 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is down by three cents to $3.01 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville remained the same this week at $2.79, while the average price in Pittsylvania County is down by a penny this week to $2.83 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price is down by four cents this week to $2.79 a gallon and in Henry County the average price is also down by four cents and also at $2.79. Prices in Halifax County are down by two cents to $2.95 a gallon.
