Average gas prices across Virginia remained the same this week at $2.89 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is up by a penny to $3.02 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville remained the same for the second week in a row at $2.79, while the average price in Pittsylvania County is down by two cents this week to $2.81 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price is down by four cents for the second week in a row to $2.75 a gallon and in Henry County the average price is up by a penny to $2.80. Prices in Halifax County increased by four cents this week to $2.99 a gallon.
