The Municipal Building and all other City of Danville government offices, the public library, and the James F. Ingram Justice Center (courthouse) will be closed on Tuesday, Dec. 24, and Wednesday, Dec. 25, for the Christmas holiday.

The courthouse also will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 26.

Danville Transit will provide transportation for seniors to dialysis facilities on Christmas Eve, but no other transit services will be available that day. Danville Transit will not operate on Christmas Day.

Household trash and yard waste collection regularly scheduled for Wednesday pickup will be collected on Saturday, Dec. 28, instead of Christmas Day. Residents who regularly have Tuesday pickup will see no change in collections, with pickup for trash and yard waste remaining on that day as normally scheduled.

In observance of the New Year’s Day holiday, the Municipal Building and all other City of Danville government offices, the library, and the courthouse will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 1. The courthouse also will be closed on Tuesday, Dec. 31.
