Average gas prices across Virginia is down by one cent this week to $2.88 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is up by two pennies to $3.04 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville is down by three cents at $2.76, while the average price in Pittsylvania County is also down by three cents this week to $2.78 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price is down by a penny to $2.74 a gallon and in Henry County the average price is up by a penny for the second week in a row to $2.81. Prices in Halifax County are down by three cents this week to $2.96 a gallon.
