Average gas prices across Virginia are up by one cent this week to $2.89 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is down by two cents to $3.02 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville is up by four cents at $2.80, while the average price in Pittsylvania County is down by a penny this week to $2.77 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price is down by two cents to $2.72 a gallon and in Henry County the average price remained the same at $2.81. Prices in Halifax County are up by two cents this week to $2.98 a gallon.
