A fire alarm alerted the Danville Fire Department to a structure fire on Friday. At 8:10 am, the Danville Fire Department was dispatched to 510 Spring Street for a possible structure fire. The call originally was reported as a fire alarm by the fire alarm monitoring company.
Almost simultaneously, a witness reported flames were visible. The call was dispatched to the fire department as a structure fire.
Units arrived within two minutes. Ladder 1 arrived first and reported seeing smoke from the roof on a two story commercial business. The call was upgraded to a “working fire”.
Units were able to quickly extinguish the fire and confirmed that there were no occupants in the building. The Fire Marshal investigated and determined the fire was accidental.
