A man has been charged with arson following a structure fire in Danville on Thursday. The Danville Fire Marshal’s Office determined that the fire at 1525 Glenn Street on Thursday was incendiary.
29-year-old Michael Davis was charged with arson by the Fire Marshal’s Office. He was arrested on Thursday without incident. The case is still open and no other information will be released.
The Danville Fire Department responded to the fire at 6:01 am on Thursday. Once on scene, units found a one-story single family dwelling with smoke coming from the front door of the dwelling. Upon further investigation, a fire was located in a bedroom floor.
Searches of the structure were conducted and crews found no one inside. One occupant was discovered outside the residence without injury, and was provided shelter while units operated.
