The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance identifying a man that robbed a gas station on Thursday night. According to deputies, the Halifax 911 Center received a call at 9:15 pm of an armed robbery at the Spirit convenience store in Centerville.

The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office, Halifax Police Department and South Boston Police Department responded to the call. When deputies arrived, the clerk on duty stated a black male came into the store, presented a small handgun demanding money from the register. The assailant quickly exited the store, No one was injured during the incident.

The Halifax County Sheriff’s office is asking for your assistance to help identify the assailant. A $1000 reward is being offered by Crime Stoppers for information leading to the arrest and the conviction of the assailant.
