Average gas prices across Virginia are up by a penny this week to $2.95 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country remained the same as last week at $3.06 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville is down by three cents to $2.79, while the average price in Pittsylvania County is down by one cent this week to $2.83 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price climbed by nine cents to $2.87 a gallon and in Henry County the average price is up by three cents to $2.88. Prices in Halifax County are down by a penny this week to $2.98 a gallon.
