Two people were killed during a farming accident on Thursday in Pittsylvania County. According to the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the 5000 block of Dry Fork Rd at around 4 pm for a structure fire.

Upon arrival at the scene Deputies found two unresponsive male victims. Both victims were unresponsive were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Evidence from the initial investigation leads Investigators to believe that the agricultural equipment being used by the victims accidently made contact with high voltage lines.

The victims have been identified as 24-year-old Juan Arizmendi, of 6940 Dry Fork Rd, and 67-year-old Phillip Hylton, of 461 Hylton Ln, in Dry Fork. Both victims have been transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office for the Western District of Virginia where the cause and manner of death will be determined.
