Average gas prices across Virginia are up by a penny this week to $3.08 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country remained the same at $3.12 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville is down by one cent at $2.86, while the average price in Pittsylvania County is up by three cents this week to $2.92 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price is up by four cents to $2.99 a gallon and in Henry County the average price climbed by a nickel to $3.00. Prices in Halifax County are also up by five cents this week to $3.17 a gallon.
