A Danville man has been arrested in North Myrtle Beach after allegedly distributing child sex abuse material. According to News13 in Myrtle Beach, 55-year-old Chadwick Joel Branch, of Danville, was arrested on two charges of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
The investigation into Branch began in January after authorities received a tip while he was out of the country. The material was allegedly distributed by Branch in July while he was staying at an address on S. Ocean Boulevard.
Branch was stopped by authorities in late January while he was at Chicago’s O’hare Airport. During a search authorities found child sexual abuse material on his phone.
Branch was booked on Tuesday into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center and has been released on $5,000 bond.
