The City of Danville has launched a webpage that shows citizens where the money the city receives from Caesars Virginia is being spent. On the website you can see where the money from the casino in fiscal year 2024 and 2025 has been spent.
For the current fiscal year, the city budgeted for $25 million from the casino. The largest portion of that money is being spent on economic opportunity at just under $6.5 million.
Two of the other larger chunks of the casino money are being spent on operations at around $4.5 million and public safety at just over $4.1 million. To view the website for the casino funding click here.
