One person was injured during a shooting in Martinsville on Sunday night. According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at 9:30 pm to a reported shooting in the 100 block of Blue Spruce Drive in Martinsville.

According to the initial report, a male subject was shot after entering another homeowner’s property and an altercation ensued. Upon arrival, deputies immediately provided first aid to the injured individual until emergency medical services arrived.

The victim was subsequently airlifted to a local hospital for further medical treatment. At this time, no criminal charges have been filed, and the investigation remains active.
