Two men have been arrested in Pittsylvania County on child porn charges. According to the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office, the arrests come after months of investigation by the Cybercrimes and Special Investigations Division.

22-year-old Jonathan DeWane Butler, of Chatham, was arrested on ten counts of possession of child pornography: Possession, reproduction, distribution, solicitation, and facilitation of child pornography. 32-year-old Shawn Douglas Jones, of Blairs, was arrested on 15 counts of possession of child pornography: Possession, reproduction, distribution, solicitation, and facilitation of child pornography.

Butler’s charges have been certified to the next Grand Jury for consideration. Jones remains in jail under no bond, his preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 14.
