Average gas prices across Virginia climbed by ten cents this week to $3.07 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is up by nine cents to $3.25 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville jumped up by 15 cents this week to $2.97, while the average price in Pittsylvania County is up by eight cents to $2.95 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price climbed by 18 cents to $3.01 a gallon and in Henry County the average price is up by nine cents to $2.95. Prices in Halifax County jumped by 19 cents this week to $3.10 a gallon.
