Average gas prices across Virginia dropped by four cents this week to $3.42 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is down by a nickel to $3.53 a gallon.

The average price of gas in Danville dropped by three cents to $3.25, while the average price in Pittsylvania County is also down by three cents to $3.29 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price is down by a nickel to $3.27 and in Henry County the average price is down by a penny to $3.30. Prices in Halifax County dropped the most this week as they are down by nine cents to $3.36 a gallon.
