The Eden Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred  at the Truist Bank at 680 S. Van Buren Rd. On Friday, patrol officers were dispatched to the bank for an armed robbery. Officers arrived on the scene and learned a suspect had entered the bank and brandished a handgun at the clerk, demanding money.

The male fled in an unknown direction following the robbery with an undisclosed amount of money. The tellers were shaken but uninjured. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police.

The robbery suspect is described as a white male, under 6ft” tall and slim build. He wore a green long-sleeved shirt, green hat, pajama-style pants, and sunglasses.
