On Friday, The Eden Police Department  began conducting an investigation into an armed robbery at Truist Bank located at 680 S Van Buren RD, Eden, NC.  Officers arrived on the scene and learned a suspect had entered the Bank and brandished a handgun at the clerk, demanding money.

The male fled in an unknown direction following the robbery with an undisclosed amount of money. The tellers were shaken but uninjured.

On Monday, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office and Patrick County Sheriff’s Office began assisting the Eden Police Department in reference to the robbery. A short time later the suspect was identified as 53-year-old Bobby Dobbins.

Dobbins was located and arrested in Collinsville. Deputies with the Henry County Sheriff’s Office issued a Fugitive of Justice warrant based of the charge of Felony Robbery from Eden.

Dobbins is currently held in the Henry County Adult Detention Center with no bond.
