A missing Halifax County man was safely located by a Virginia State Police flight crew on Saturday. James Blevins was reported missing by the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office on Friday after he had last been seen at his residence on Dryburg Road.

Virginia State Police Trooper-Pilot J. Reichard and Tactical Flight Officer Trooper J. Roland responded to a search request and quickly located Blevins. They landed the helicopter in a nearby field, aided him to the helicopter, and helped him to rehydrate on the flight to a nearby EMS for additional care.
