Danville City Council voted Tuesday night to extend the Independence Day holiday for City of Danville employees by closing the Municipal Building and all other City of Danville government offices on Friday, July 5, in addition to Thursday. The public library also will be closed on Thursday and Friday.
Danville Transit will not operate on Thursday, but buses will operate on Friday.
Public Works crews will collect household trash and yard waste on Thursday and Friday as regularly scheduled – no change in schedule.
The James F. Ingram Justice Center (courthouse) will be closed on Thursday and Friday.
