Average gas prices across Virginia jumped seven cents this week to $3.39 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is up by a penny $3.50 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville climbed by a nickel to $3.27, while the average price in Pittsylvania County jumped by 11 cents to $3.33 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price remained the same at $3.24 a gallon and in Henry County the average price is up by eight cents to $3.31. Prices in Halifax County are up by a penny to $3.36 a gallon.
