A man wanted for a shooting in Halifax County has turned himself in. According to the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office, 30-year-old Lucas Markee Witcher turned himself into authorities on Wednesday.

The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office has been looking for Witcher since last week for a shooting on Buffalo Road. Witcher is being held at Blue Ridge Regional Jail, Halifax, without bond and waiting on arraignment.

Sheriff Fred S. Clark expressed his appreciation to the community for the assistance and information they received about the case.
