Virginia State Police is investigating a single-vehicle crash, which resulted in a fatality.  The crash occurred Wednesday at 12:50 pm on Franklin Turnpike, four tenths of a mile south of Callands Road in Pittsylvania County.

A 2003 Toyota Tundra was traveling south on Franklin Turnpike when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected and overturned.

The driver of the Toyota was identified as Joseph Patrick Miheve, 75, of Chatham. Miheve was wearing his seatbelt and was transported to SOVAH Health in Danville, where he later died.

The crash remains under investigation.
