A man has been arrested following an attempted robbery in Danville on Monday. The Danville Police Department has arrested 27-year-old Markuis Liqwon Skipwith for the assaults that occurred on Monday at Purdum Woods Apartments.

Skipwith was charged with robbery with serious injury, two counts of aggravated malicious wounding, three counts of use of a firearm in commission of a felony, discharging a firearm in an occupied dwelling, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

He is in the Danville City Jail without bond. This incident remains under investigation.

One man was shot in the arm and another was hit in the head with a blunt object during the attempted robbery on Monday night. The three men were together inside an apartment when the attempted robbery occurred.
