A South Boston woman has been arrested for a shooting that occurred on Saturday. The South Boston Police Department responded to a call for a shooting in the area of Lincoln Drive at 2:45 pm.
According to The Gazette-Virginian, once on scene, officers found a 35-year-old woman with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.
33-year-old Joy Palmer has been arrested for the shooting and was charged with malicious wounding and attempted second-degree murder. The shooting is still under investigation, anyone with information is asked to contact the South Boston Police Department at 434-575-7273.
