(Martinsville, Va.) – A groundskeeper found a man’s body behind a Martinsville church while cutting the grass. The discovery was made about 4:30 p.m. behind Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church on Starling Avenue.
Authorities say the man is in his mid-40’s. They have identified the deceased but are withholding his name until relatives are notified.
Police say they do not suspect foul play in the death, which appears to have been accidental.
The man’s body is being taken to the Roanoke medical examiner to determine the exact cause of death.
