Residents in Yanceyville, NC are experiencing periods of low pressure and water outages in the distribution system due to a transmission water main break. The periods of low or no pressure increase the potential for back siphonage and introduction of bacteria into the water system.

Residents are advised to boil all water that will be used for consumption or use bottled water. Vigorously boiling the water for one minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that could be in the water.
