Average gas prices across Virginia dropped by three cents this week to $3.05 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is down by four cents to $3.13 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville is down by two cents to $2.89, while the average price in Pittsylvania County is down by three cents this week to $2.93 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price is down by three cents to $2.94 a gallon and in Henry County the average price is down by two cents to $2.98. Prices in Halifax County climbed by a nickel to $3.16 a gallon.
