A man that was wanted by the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office for violating the North Carolina Sex Offender Registry has been taken into custody. On Tuesday, the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook that they were looking for 45-year-old Danny Gray Owens Jr.
Owens was wanted for violating the Sex Offender Registry, parole violations, and cutting off his court-mandated GPS Monitoring Device and was taken into custody on Wednesday morning. Owens had previously been seen leaving a treatment facility in Goldsboro, NC.
Owens is listed as an “Aggravated Offender” with the N.C. Sex Offender Registry. He is now being held at the Rockingham County Detention Facility.
