Average gas prices across Virginia are up by two cents this week to $2.00 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is down by a penny to $3.07 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville is also up by a penny to $2.91, while the average price in Pittsylvania County is down by two cents this week to $2.88 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price is down by one cent to $2.88 a gallon and in Henry County the average price is up by a penny to $2.92. Prices in Halifax County jumped by 12 cents to $3.12 a gallon.
