The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after human remains were found in Reidsville on Sunday. According to deputies, an individual located human skeletal remains in a wooded area while walking their property lines at the 7900 block of U.S. Hwy 158 West in Reidsville.

At this time, the identity of this individual is not confirmed, and it is unknown if foul play was involved in this individual’s death. The remains have been sent for testing to attempt to determine the individual’s identity and the time and cause of death.
