One person was killed in a crash in Danville on Saturday. According to the Danville Police Department, officers responded at 9:30 am to the U.S. 29 bypass near Goodyear Blvd. in reference to a single vehicle crash resulting in a traffic fatality. 

35-year-old Pittsylvania County resident Kasie Williams, 35, was the single occupant in the vehicle. 

Williams was traveling north before crossing the center median where her vehicle overturned. She was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The crash remains under investigation.
