A Virginia man has been arrested following a homicide in Franklin County on Saturday. According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 4:30 am on Saturday, deputies from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported shooting at a residence on Moe Lane in Callaway.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim, identified as 30-year-old Brandon A. Holland of Callaway, deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. Following an investigation, Antonio Maurice Payne, 37, of Lebanon, Virginia, was taken into custody early Sunday morning in Montgomery County. 

Payne has been charged with Second-Degree Murder and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony. The investigation is still ongoing.
